Meet BigTop
Curt Marek, known to just about everyone as “BigTop,” describes his calling simply: he raises the tents and builds the rings so the magic can happen.
For nearly 30 years, Curt has led operations and facilities in Texas public schools. He has designed and built 11 campuses and 5 childcare centers and helped deliver more than 11 million square feet of facilities. Before that, he managed assets for a Fortune 500 company and ran supply chain and equipment projects. That combination of experience is the foundation of BigTop Soulutions. BTS gives schools, churches, and organizations IT asset recovery and managed services from someone who has been responsible for the buildings, the budgets, and the people who depend on both.
BigTop is also a bi-vocational pastor with more than 30 years of ministry as a youth pastor, children’s pastor, worship pastor, evangelist, and senior pastor. Through BTS, he helps small churches “do it big on a budget” with worship technology. He is the founder of Soulutions Church Online.
Mentoring is at the center of everything he does. Using the Paul-Barnabas-Timothy model, he has raised up more than 20 pastors and ministry leaders, developed over 100 operations leaders, and invested in hundreds of student leaders. He shares that approach in his book, The Mentoring Initiative: Not a Mission Impossible, and through his “Words from BigTop” content.
He is a dad of seven, six of them adopted through foster care, and the original creator of “Have You Met Ted”!!!
